Protest the Slaughter of
Hundreds of Dolphins and Whales

Tuesday, November 4, 2003
7:15-9:30 PM

AT THE JAPANESE CONSULATE IN NYC
299 Park Avenue, New York, 10171 (at 49th Street)

International scientific and conservation groups have condemned the Japanese drive fisheries, in which fishing boats "drive" hundreds of marine mammals into a bay and slaughter them.  The aquarium industry supports the practice and is on hand to cull and "buy" the youngest non-blemished of the dolphins.  They pay hundreds of thousands of yen for each dolphin that will end up doing stupid dolphin tricks, in a Dolphin Swim With Program or Dolphin Assisted Therapy scam session near you.

In keeping with the urgency of letting the Japanese officials know that WE ARE WATCHING, WE OPPOSE, and WE UTTERLY CONDEMN the slaughter of these human-rescuing, highly intelligent dolphins, PLEASE JOIN US FOR THIS PROTEST at the Japanese Consulate General in NYC.

Please also call them to protest the drive fisheries in Japan (Taiji) where the dolphins and whales are being "driven" up on to the beaches and slaughtered.  (212)371-8222.

Please read below and join us if you can on Tuesday night
Posters and BLOODY dolphin costumes are welcome
